Changing the Equation: Redesigning Developmental Math

On December 1, the National Center for Academic Transformation (NCAT) launched a major new program, sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, to engage the nation's community colleges in a successful redesign of their remedial/developmental math sequences. Its goal is to improve student learning outcomes in remedial/developmental math while reducing costs for both students and institutions using NCATs proven redesign methodology.

Item Analysis for Pooled Tests and Quizzes
On tests and quizzes that use pooled questions, instructors now have item-level student performance statistics. This will allow them to analyze how the class and individual students performed by test question and objective and also gauge the relative difficulty of questions from the same pool.
